How to - Setup remote file locations on a Welch Allyn ECG

🌟 Prerequisites 🌟

Analyse which model/make the machine is (common Welch Allyn models are CP150)
Ensure the power and Ethernet cable are properly plugged in/connected

Access settings on ECG and navigate to Advanced tab in settings

Navigate to the Device tab and select PDF to remote file location

The Device tab is located on the General page
PDF to remote file location is under the drop down menu of Printer

Navigate to Data Management tab and select Remote file location

Remote file location is available under the drop down menu of Autosave

Input folder destination to save

Results will be saved once they've been printed.

TIP

The correct format should be: \\hostname\folder

DANGER

The ECG machine is case sensitive

When prompted for User ID / Password input where you work for both

HALT

Don't test the remote folder yet, continue the setup on the workstation

Sign in as itadmin and open Windows Defender Firewall

Open 4 inbound rules

Once you've added make sure the below highlighted rules are enabled

Ensure that the Windows Features relating to SMB are enabled on the workstation where the folder is being created

Create an ECG folder under the local disk (C:)

Right-click > Properties > Security add Everyone and ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES

Go to the Sharing tab and select Read/Write for everyone

Logout of itadmin and login as myhealth user

On the ECG machine test the remote folder location
