Cause of error: Failure of a string within the registry

Fix for issue:

Navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Best Practice Software\Best Practice\Database

If the error persists on one computer, it most likely is happening on others. Once this is completed, the Practice Manager needs to make sure that the staff member has appropriate permissions to be able to import / export.
